1. Watching movies with Fiona is really funny. She's got the attention span to sit through Charlotte's Web or Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast, but something like Ratatouille has too much talking in it and she loses interest before the end.

We've been trying to get her to watch new movies (on the weekend, we go to the playground and watch movies) because she always wants to watch either Spongebob SquarePants Movie or what she calls Willburd (Charlotte's Web). So this past weekend, we watched Lilo and Stitch, which I'd never seen before. OMG, why did nobody tell me how hard this movie was going to tap dance on my emotions? Emma and I sat there with tears streaming down our faces pretty much the whole movie. It was so good and so sweet, and I felt so badly for how hard Nani was trying and still failing to meet the appropriate standards for keeping Lilo with her. AND THEN EMMA AND I BOTH JUMPED TO THE SPECTER OF EMMA HAVING TO TAKE CARE OF HER BABY SISTER AND THEN WE ALL CRIED SOME MORE AND FIONA THOUGHT WE WERE STUPID.

2. Josh and I watched Storks, which turned out to be awesome. Highly recommended. We just had the TV on in the background and then got sucked in because it was so cute and funny.

3. We saw Wonder Woman today and really liked it. In the full interest of disclosure, I've got to admit that I'm not as wild about it as a lot of you are. I think that's because I've got zero nostalgia for Wonder Woman. She was not a thing of my childhood. I watched no TV show or cartoon with her in it, and I didn't read the comics. The plot line also seemed really similar to the first Captain America movie.

I pretty much adore the costuming, how stunningly beautiful everyone is, and also how stunningly beautiful everyone is. Robin Wright! OMG, so beautiful. Gal Gadot is breathtakingly beautiful. I always love Chris Pine. Remus Lupin as the bad guy was really nice. I suspected he was going to be the bad guy, but I'm not exactly sure what tipped me off.

I liked that Diana had to realize that Ares was only part of the problem and that humans can be evil all on their lonesome and that Steve had to overcome his skepticism that the supernatural is real and that some problems can have supernatural answers.

I am very much looking forward to the Justice League movie.

I think Cordelia understands now why I cry during parts of Lilo and Stitch. She definitely didn't when she was younger. Nani tries so very hard and clearly loves Lilo.

Cordelia between the ages of two and three adored Muppet Treasure Island. There's a chase scene early on, and she used to run and shriek during it, just the way the characters were doing. I think she watched that movie every day for quite a long time. She used to want it in the evenings when she was starting to settle down and would often fall asleep watching it. At least, she would if I was sitting with her to cuddle.

You really must love Wonder Woman as much as me. I demand it! ;)

Kidding obviously.

Lilo and Stitch is my second-favorite Disney movie. (My favorite's the Lion King.) The fun part is I can do a Stitch voice.

Neither did I, though -- WW is not a big thing in Germany; there are lots of comics lovers, but obvs. many of them read European comics. I still loved the movie unabashedly.

AND THEN EMMA AND I BOTH JUMPED TO THE SPECTER OF EMMA HAVING TO TAKE CARE OF HER BABY SISTER AND THEN WE ALL CRIED SOME MORE AND FIONA THOUGHT WE WERE STUPID. Jonah and Fiona are the same person.

I was a HUGE Wonder Woman fan as a kid -- so I love, love, loved it. The tip-off for me with Lupin as the Big Bad was his offer for Etta to use his office, and then his attentiveness to Etta's conversation with Steve Trevor.

Jonah and I saw "Storks" twice in the theater. The whole bit with the wolves turning into things was hilarious.
