I use Dreamwidth for image hosting, but it only allows pictures to display on Dreamwidth and Livejournal (maybe another site?), not on AO3 or elsewhere. There's also not a lot of storage space, but if you're not uploading dozens of pictures a day, it'll probably be sufficient.
