I have never read any of her non-fiction before although I'm thinking about doing so as part of my Read Moar project for this summer. Was your dissertation on Iris Murdoch or something else?

I've also got The Shadow of the Sun on my summer reading list, and then I'll have read all Byatt's fiction.
