Oh yeah, little details are definitely good -- drawing the reader into the scene, making it feel more intimate, making the scene feel unique.

I know I've commented on at least one of your fics (the Connor/Spike one, complete with my asking what the title was since it was in the cut-tag but not in the entry itself) so maybe I'm familiar from that?
