I hate that character bashing is an unavoidable facet of fandom; it's been a part of every fandom I've been in. I will say, it's much, much less prominent in this fandom so far.

I am the plague upon fandom because I love all the angst and hurt/comfort even when it's ridiculous. Give me sad, sad Steve crying alone in his empty house with an eating disorder and abusive parents. I eat that shit up with a spoon. Ha!
