Consumption is so much more Romantic

Good thing you've gotten it now; it would be a shame for you to have finished your dissertation without a nice bout of consumption.

Fairly new house. You and Offspring both have respiratory symptoms. Sounds like an allergen to me.

Eeep. I'd be going to the doc and getting antibiotics. If it hasn't cleared up on its own after all this time, it's unlikely to (as I discovered the hard way, when I got bronchitis in the middle of summer)

Ack! Go to the doctor. Right the hell now. While it could be that six-week cold that's been going around (and boy, did I hate that fucker), it could also be a respiratory infection, and you need to get on those before they deepen into true pneumonia.

::waves hand:: I get that too.

In my case, it's allergies. In your case? I'd go see the doctor to rule out walking pneumonia or some such. The Spouse once had pleurisy and his only symptom was a painful cough.

Don't mess with your lungs, girl! They don't issue new ones if you mess up the ones you have...
