Spoil me for Jessica Jones

So, we've watched two episodes of the show. I really, really like it even though it is much darker than I expected. However, in episode 2 Kilgrave sends the two kids into the closet, and it really, really upset me. I get super anxious about child harm; can't read or hear about it from the news; can't take it in books and TV; it starts me on an anxiety spiral where I can't stop thinking about it. We watched that episode on Monday, and I keep thinking about it.

So I need to be spoiled for this particular plot point ONLY, please. Do the kids die? Are they mentioned or seen again? If bad things happen to them, which part of which episode do I need to avoid?

i dont think they're mentioned again. Certainly no more on screen badness happens to them. (Lots of on screen badness to adults though.) Also, later in the series there is some reference to (non sexual) child abuse, and some is shown on screen. It is stopped, hard, though, within the same scene.

You're right. We never see or hear from them again. I choose to assume that they're fine. It's entirely possible that Kilgrave wouldn't kill a child, though he couldn't care less about adults.

They don't die; they are not mentioned or seen again.

What helped me through the scene (super-upsetting, you're right) that the Kilgrave power fades after a time, 24 hours or so? The kids would be free then without any physical harm to them.

I was really worried about those kids, too. But yeah, they're never referenced again.

Twelve hours, and I believe that he wouldn't actively harm a child (though neglect, potentially, yes), based on what we've seen in the series. His enmity is generally reserved for adults. But since we haven't seen that house again, I think it was a waystation and nothing more.
