Canon is what you make of it - which, now that I have had some sleep, coffee, and some anti-inflammatories, I will say, it's nice to hear about that in the comments. I appreciate hearing how everyone has taken canon and gone, "Huh. So, Laura, huh? Let's not demonize her. What can I do to make this canon fun for me instead of exploding in a rage fit?" I just also enjoyed the original canon too.
But I mean, whatever way you write it, we've also gotten to see on screen that Clint also gets to be fairly well-adjusted emotionally in for being in a continual relationship with someone who is not one of the other Avengers. Which I find deeply, deeply refreshing.
* In the criminal sense, anyway? You know I tend to write "everyone is bisexual until proven otherwise in a very firm, lasting, and abiding sense" as a rule.

To completely change the subject, have you heard of Drearcliff Grange? It's a book about an English boarding school for girls with unusual abilities set early 20th century, and it is right up your alley I think.
