"What am I supposed to do if something happens to you?" Lee says. "Raise this baby with Barbara?"

I intended to off poor Jim in this fic and slash Lee and Barbara, but I ran out of time because I wanted to post it before tonight's episode Josses this idea all to hell and possibly Barbara herself. :(

I think I will come revisit this, though.

I used to get very upset at canon for getting in the way of my fan fic.

Heeee. I don't get upset about it, but I do feel a compulsion to be canon compliant. Almost everything I write, even if it's a non-canon pairing, is canon compliant. I could totally have waited, though! Show did me good this time.

I also felt that compulsion - but then I tried to write a chapters-long fic. The combination did not go well for me.
