I don't like first person, not because its too intimate, but because the author rarely gives us a good reason for the charachter to be telling us this stuff.

When a charachter tells us what clothes he put on and in what order, it just comes off as kind of narcissistic (of the charachter) to me, unless theres a good reason he/she would be telling anyone, let alone telling a whole story about it.

And thats not even getting into smut fic.
