Yay, TV is back! Spoilers for all.
Gotham
I love this show so hard. In no particular order, I loved
1. Alfred protecting Bruce (never ever gets old).
2. Jim Gordon in black leather not giving a fuck--please let us have this all season.
3. Barbara and Tabitha owning the bar together cracks me up.
4. Woobie Selina. *clutches her*
5. Penguin is always a delight.
6. The way they continue to use the bat imagery (last season with Galavan and in this episode with the bat monster person)
Lucifer
This show is like a breath of fresh air. It's just so silly and fun. Despite being a procedural in which people are murdered, it is almost entirely bereft of angst (with the exception of that amazing episode last season in which the preacher was killed). So many jokes, so much laughing.
1. Maze + Psychologist = Awesomesauce
2. Amenadiel + Lucifer = Awesomesauce
3. Tricia Helfer as Lucifer's mom = Awesomesauce
4. Lucifer being vulnerable = Awesomesauce
5. Amenadiel missing Maze = Awesomesauce
6. Needs more Trixie
NCIS
You know, I wasn't going to watch this. I was so done with this show after last season. But I couldn't help myself, I think mostly because what else am I going to do during this time slot? Watch more Tiny House Nation? LOL
I like Wilmer Valderama. I like the actor that used to be Danny's partner on Blue Bloods. I think they bring fresh life to the show. I like that they mentioned Tony and are missing him but didn't belabor the point. And frankly, if NCIS wants to turn into the Gibbs and Fornell are platonic life partners show, I will gladly watch that on a weekly basis. (Compromise is the key to maintaining a relationship indeed, Tobias.)
NOLA
I can't believe Brody is gone. I really liked her character, and her departure is terribly abrupt. I wonder if the actor had another project or if they wanted her to go for some reason. At least the show is acknowledging that she left, and everyone is mourning her absence (poor Percy).
Love, love, love Percy and Lasalle dancing around each other. Those two actors have insane chemistry, and Percy in particular does all these subtle facial expressions that just.... wow. She's good.
Can't wait to see how this new season turns out and how the new cast member integrates.
Bull
I really like this show. Love the way it's shot with all the footage of social media and news outlets interwoven. Love all the technology. Dialogue is snappy and funny. Michael Weatherly is looking great and impeccably dressed.
The only potential issue I see with this show is that it's going to get old if all his clients are magically innocent somehow. That's not how the justice system works.
I think there's a lot of potential to mine here--meta commentary on the judicial system and social media, Bull's backstory, interpersonal development with the rest of the cast.
Looking forward to more.

And we need more Trixie - her and Maze are so cute. (Dunno if you follow actor twitter/instagrams, but Lesley-Ann Brandt has brought her niece to set, who is Trixie-sized. Tiny plotting!)

Amenadiel's stunt was awesome.
And something is going on with his powers, too, but it can't just be the presence of Chloe for him because she wasn't in the precinct when his time slowing power failed.

i don't know why when they have new a character join the team in these kind of situations, it's always some abrasive character. a by-the-book type or someone who gets assigned to the team when they don't want to be reassigned.
that whole: "yes, brody leaving was out of nowhere, but we will get over it." was totally directed at the fans.

You are not lying about Pride's little speech to Percy and Lasalle. I kept thinking I was listening to Buffy look at the camera and say, "And you can sing along." LOL

NOLA - Yeah, the whole Brody thing was harsh. Not sure what happened on the meta level, but at the end of the last season, it felt like they were writing her out, but perhaps that was a demand by the actress to have a bigger role. I kind of like the FBI lady, but I know the actress from Graceland, where she also played an undercover, more flexible kind of FBI agent. I think the investigation is a pile of annoyance.
Bull - Still on the fence about it. My mom, seems more willing to jump ship and she's usually into these kind of shows. It maybe me needing Tony methadone. I find it very interesting on the meta-level - being able to gather this much info from public sources, being able to use psychology to direct the jury. But my mom wondered the same thing you did - will he win all his cases.

This transition felt more seamless than the one after Ziva left. I like Bishop, but her integration felt more difficult. I am very happy that the Probie thing seems retired, too. I mean, how long can we drag out that particular joke. I like that the new female agent is essentially Gibbs's equal and she taught them all.
I'm sure I will grow to like the new agent on NOLA; I just liked Brody so much that anyone else will pale in comparison for a while.
