Today is Fountain Pen Day!

Check out the official site for more info plus deals from online stationery purveyors.

Let's talk about Fountain Pens!

What's your Grail Pen (most coveted pen)? What's currently inked? What's your favorite ink? Nib style? Best paper to use fountain pens on?

Or maybe you want to talk about what doesn't work--the dud pen or the crappy paper with tons of bleed through.

Time for some fountain pen love!

I'm trying not to look too hard at Sailors and Pelikans because I don't want to start craving those. They're amazing. I have a couple of Yafa brand pens - a lower-end Monteverde and Diplomat, but I kind of want a Nettuno and a Pineder. I did order one of the Conklins that looks like unicorn puke, because it was on sale, so why not? But the vintage Conklins from before Yafa bought the brand are so, so nice.

I was afraid of cartridges for a while, but they're not too bad! I'll walk you through them on video if you ever want to give them a try.

The classic black ones are very nice, but honestly, all kinds of shapes and colors are super pretty.
