Some recs and a lament

They're doing the funniest thing in fanthropology right now. Drabbles about a fandom issue, which sounds dry and boring but is really heeeelarious. Read them HERE. And then write some of your own. Cause you guys make with the funnies all the time. If I can force some cleverness I might do one. (I'm thinking you, suki_blue, with all your hilarity). Heeeee..... ETA: I did one. Not a good one, but I did one. *snort*

And now for the lamenty portion of this broadcast. You know how you know something but you don't *really* know it until it bites you in the ass? Well, I've been steadily gaining weight since I was a sophomore in college. I mean, in highschool, they used to call me Titanic, but that was always followed by Tits and not Neck Waddle. I knew I should be concerned about my weight, but it was so easy just to not give a shit. Well, I went to the MD today for a sinus infection. And guess what? My blood pressure is HIGH. And not from looking at velvet_virago's pictures. So, Lorraine has to lose weight. The doc says fifty pounds, which is pretty much exactly the amount I've gained. Maybe now that someone has told me I'm on the road to seriously screwing my health up, I'll actually do something about it.

Oh, you're welcome on that rec. I knew it'd be right up your alley. And you do belong to su_herald, don't you? That's where I saw it listed. And I've seen several of your pieces listed there! You go. *bows down* It's a very exclusive list. I've never had a piece of fic make it there. Wheeee!

I joined su_herald last week, but I saw your rec first. I watch the comms on my list, but I like to check the people first. More fun that way. :-)
