Ghostwriting by [livejournal.com profile] lilysaid and [livejournal.com profile] halowrites; Joe Flanigan/David Hewlett; Adult
This is meta RPF at its best and most deliciously erotic. David is struck with the urge to start writing scenes for Joe, scenes in which he attempts to lay bare Joe's inner workings, what makes him tick, what he'd do in X situation. Surprisingly to Joe, not only does David get him right, Joe anxiously awaits the next installment because there's something thrilling about David understanding him so well. What's incredibly awesome about this fic is that we've got both David and Joe standing in for us, the fanficcers, at various points. David writes these scenes and he GETS JOE RIGHT, he gets JF's unspoken approval for what he's written. David also has a hell of a time turning himself on with these scenes he's writing--he feels like in some ways he's crossing a line with Joe and that's as much of a thrill as imagining Joe actually doing the things he's writing for him. Finally, Joe is a consumer in this fic, just like we are. He reads and responds emotionally to everything David's written; there's even a smoking hot masturbation scene toward the end which I feel is one of the most striking scenes I've read in RPF. Many layered, this piece, and much fun to read.

Find You Out by [livejournal.com profile] lilysaid; Joe Flanigan/David Hewlett; Adult
In this story, David and Joe are working on a script together and find the lines between their characters and themselves very much blurred. I'm reminded a lot of "The Untitled Jared Padalecki Project," which is one of my favorite SPN RPFs. I really like the notion of Joe embuing his character with so much of himself that he eventually cannot tell which emotions are his and which are courtesy of the character. It's a lovely, twisty thing with great payoff at the end.

I cannot post anything to my journal. I get this message: Error running style: Died in S2::run_code running EntryPage::print(): Can't locate object method "new" via package "S2::Object" (perhaps you forgot to load "S2::Object"?) at (eval 891)[/home/lj/src/s2/S2.pm:232] line 847.

If you guys can see this, how do I fix it? What's going on?

ETA: Lj's working on fixing the error and it looks like they just did. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] trobadora for identifying the problem for me.

Title: Be One Flesh
Pairing: Lucius Malfoy/Narcissa Malfoy
Rating: Adult
Warnings: kink; bondage; delayed orgasm; rimming; spanking
Word Count: 1,081

So, I signed up for that Forty and Over Smutathon that [livejournal.com profile] kindkit and [livejournal.com profile] wisdomeagle are running and the person whose request I drew wanted Lucius Malfoy/Anyone, a sort of Choose Your Own Smutty Adventure. I thought, I can do this, no problem, and then proceeded to write the kinkiest, dirtiest thing I’ve ever written. At first I was all proud of myself. Look at you, Lorraine. With the filthy, filthy mind. You rock! and Ooooh, you’re writing CANONICAL HET SEX! You go with your subversive self. And then when I was done, I started thinking, what if my recipient is appalled by my self-perceived awesomeness? I checked out her journal, which is primarily friendslocked and could determine nothing more substantial than she is gaga for Lucius; then I checked out her fic of which one had some BDSM elements according to the header, but still left me unsure if what I’ve written is something this person would really like to read.

So, here’s my question for you guys: I’ve only participated in one ficathon, back in Aught Five and I don’t really know the etiquette. If you don’t know the person you’re writing for, is the polite thing to do to stay away from kinky stuff in case she doesn’t like it? Should you email the person and say, “I’ve written this fic with ropes and orgasm denial and the misuse of tea. Is that okay with you?” Are you supposed to keep the recipient a secret, which makes emailing her doubly faux pas-y? I need answers. LOL

As a result of my quandary, I’ve decided to just treat this fic as practice for the ficathon and write one of my recipient’s other requests instead.

So, third time's the charm. Yay for lj getting its shit together. LOL
