Hurrah Hurrah!

1. I was just complaining to Josh that I wish I had a title for the McFarland book because even though I know it's happening (we've signed author releases, and the whole draft has been submitted to the publisher), not having that title makes the project seem precarious in a way that it is not. And I want to be able to put the actual title on my CV and in my promotion packet.

The editor just emailed us the title! I am super stoked.

2. I got the whole Harriet Jacobs chapter outlined; I know what I'm going to write now, and I'm at about the halfway point. Not bad for an hour and a half of work this morning. I work better in my office, so I'm going to table it to next week and spend a morning in my office just trying to knock it out.

3. The check for the totalled car is en route! It may even show up today.

4. Lucifer happens tomorrow! I am so pleased to have such a wealth of good TV right now. We're still working on season 2 of Iron Fist, season 2 of Umbrella Academy awaits, She-Ra is going more slowly now that we can only watch it on the weekends, Legend of Korra awaits, and Lovecraft Country is spectacular. ( spoilers for LC )

Do not read Gideon the Ninth in the bathtub. The cover has stained my fingertips and the crotches of both thumbs a bruisy black.
