Daredevil season 2

Wow.

Foggy and Matt breaking up is breaking my heart.

Foggy getting offered a partnership because he is a badass lawyer puts a bandaid on it.

Fisk running the prison is awesome. He continues to be a very compelling character.

Melvin and his love for Betsy continue to warm my heart, and now he's making toys for Matt. Love it.

I am mostly kinda bored with Matt at this point although he regained my interest in the final episode. He seemed more like the Matt of season 1 and less like the dicky Matt of season 2.

Elektra (or is is Electra? IDK Mostly I just like how Matt seems to call her 'Lectra much of the time which is what we called our kitty Electra) was kind of a mixed bag for me. I really like the way she interacts with Matt--the snark and banter has a nice edge to it. I was very much put off by her wanting Matt to kill the guy who killed his dad (although that gets interpreted differently after you've watched the whole season and realize Stick is putting her up to a lot of what she does and also realize that she's apparently some mystical weapon who longs to kill, or at least that she thinks she is). I appreciate her struggle to be good against her murderous internal nature (I feel kinda like her struggle is best described in terms of a Harry/Draco fic LOL), and I absolutely adore the final conversation she has with Matt. I think they were both their best selves at that point.

My absolute fave is Frank and Karen. Every single second they are together on the screen is golden. The conversation they have in the diner is perfect. (I am convinced that Frank knows Matt is Daredevil, too, btw.)

One thing I really liked about this season is how my perception of Stick changed. In the first episode in which he appears, he's such an asshole. And he hurts Matt so terribly. But in this season you realize how much he loved/loves Matt and how much he loves Elektra. He genuinely believes that she is evil, that she is a weapon, that she has to be killed. And yet, he can't help loving her and wanting to protect her. He tries his hardest to give her a life, to keep her safe as long as possible before what he believes is inevitable happens. *sniff* Also super love him decapitating Nobu. I told Josh it would take a beheading to kill that one for reals.


Looking forward to the next season and to starting Jessica Jones.
