I tend to agree. What annoys me about his canon characterization is that Show either doesn't show him being fucked up enough for me, or depicts him as fucked up in ways that I don't necessarily buy. Ronon is an awesome, awesome character, but I'm forced to go to fanfic (like it's a chore *g*) if I want nuanced and subtle and interesting treatment of him.
