1. Fiona and I went to see the musical of the movie Waitress with a colleague, her daughter, and mother-in-law. It was really funny and surprisingly moving; I teared up multiple times. It was also surprisingly risque, and I might have hesitated on taking Fiona if I'd realized there would be so much simulated sex. LOL

2. [personal profile] sweettartheart sent me the most amazing Pride flag Star Trek communicator. It has gone on my work bag with all my other pins. I love it!

3. We are still really enjoying The Dragon Prince. I was really surprised by Virren's choice to leave dark magic behind. I suspect that he will die in some sacrificial way to save them all from Aravos. I love Soren so much. He's my favorite character. I am really unsure how the Aravos situation will be resolved; the show has been written into a difficult situation where he's immortal and yet hiding him is too risky as well. I don't know how that will play out. I think Claudia will probably be redeemed; this is a kid's show, and I suspect they're not going to kill the kids (I mean, Claudia is an adult now but she started off as a kid, so I think she counts in that category.).

I enjoyed this whole collection, but I especially enjoyed the Rome + Dragons and the Pride and Prejudice + Dragons stories. My favorite story of all is a kind of Vandermeer/Atwood/Bacigalupi mashup that is just fantatsic.

Hi!!! Guess what came in the mail today! It smells wonderful and I can't wait to use the body wash tonight!!! *bg*

However, I had to open the box from the bottom because I couldn't get through the tape you put on it, lolol! I was determined, though.

I saw an outdoor play of Dracula when I was ten. I'm pretty sure there was some adult content, considering the subject, but I don't remember it all that much. Then again, that could be because of the giant bat on a wire that went right over my head. Freaked everyone in our party out, which was two little old ladies, two girls, and Mom trying to protect us all! LOL!

I'd love to see that communicator! That sounds awesome!
