Oh, god. This is so beautiful to read. Absolutely nothing happens in this fic. Nothing at all. And it's so perfect and gorgeous, I ache to read it. This has one of my absolute favorite lines--The sound went into his bones instead of the air--that is repeated to brilliant effect. This is atmospheric, languid, lazy. Excellent.

The Jack voice here is impeccable. I really feel as if I'm being given a glimpse into his interior. The premise here is quite simple--Jack and Daniel end up stranded on a planet. What happens is also quite simple--they relax and manage to enjoy the peace and quiet they find. This story is not about sex. In fact, there's no sex at all. It is instead about what Jack and Daniel mean to each other, the contentment they find with one another, the way they fit so perfectly into each other's lives, and Jesus, the last couple lines. *loves* I like this story very much.

I don't want to ruin the way this unfolds by telling you what's going on, but I will tell you that this story is set after Osiris takes Sarah's body. Jack and Daniel are both a little screwed up over that. I like my versions of these two to be a little raw, a little ragged, a little messed up and this fic delivers that perfectly without straying too far into the angst.
