1. My children have been cracking me up. Emma was talking about some internet slang the kiddos use which I've never heard of, and I had to remind her that while I may not be hip to the lingo of the youths, I'm really immersed in internet culture.
To which she replied, "Well, yes, but old people internet."
Then Fiona was talking about the time before people had vacuums and bathtubs (not sure why those two items were lumped together, but whatever; this is the child whose favorite game is to ask endless questions like "Would you rather drink ketchup water or green bean juice water every day?" so logic is not to the forefront) and suggested that this time of antiquity was "as long ago as the 19s."
2. I realize this is a long shot, but Emma has gotten way into the video game Dead Space. She has been lamenting the lack of fic on AO3, and yesterday she told me the only good fic on AO3 was gone. "They didn't even orphan their account, Mom. They just deleted it all."
If anyone has any interest in writing Dead Space fic for Emma (Isaac-centric, doesn't care about romance), I would be eternally grateful.
