Hee! Aww! I can't help feeling you'd really enjoy Kdramas. (There's not a lot of Actually Unrequited Pining between the main pairing, obviously, but there's often a second lead who's pining away and never going to get any, and the EPIC AMOUNTS of Seemingly Unrequited Pining are truly epic, plus Ridiculous Misunderstandings are a staple of the genre.)

And Vicky/Marly/Jake...Anne Heche's Vicky and Marly, not that weird thing they did with the two of them played by separate actresses...

I loved Anne Heche as Marly/Vickie. That was some amazing acting.

It's not as good when she leaves although I do love Ryan's eventual death scene with "The Water is Wide" playing.

Also, loved John De Lancie. Before Q and Discord, there was Eugene. He really has a type, yes? LOL
