So. I know that many of you are going through some really tough times. Me, too.

Just on my small friends' list, the number of issues that people are facing is staggering: mental health crises, physical health crises, the emotional and psychological toll of the pandemic and the attendant isolation and separation from loved ones, grief and mourning, financial insecurity, and others. 2020 was a shit show for everyone, and for many of us, 2021 isn't necessarily shaping up to be any better.

I want you to know that y'all are my light in the darkness. This fall was the lowest point for me in many years, and you lifted me up out of it. You listened to me vent. You gave me advice. You sent out hopes, prayers, and well wishes to the universe for me. You made me laugh. You wrote stories that entertained me. You took my silly polls. You let me be a friend to you in return when you were hurting, too.

Thanks for that. I am grateful on a daily basis for all of you.

Oh, my gods, you've made me cry. Just a little. Thank you for being a wonderful friend and cheerleader. There are times when I find it difficult to post but I remember you and my other online friends and don't want to go in hiding again.
