I agree with you about Cob. I didn't think he was particuarly interesting as a villain (except perhaps as a foil for Ged; that this is what Ged might have become if he had not chosen another path). I disliked the first book so that I barely even remembered him from it anyways.

The Sea People were cool! That kind of society is really interesting. I bet they got a lot of play in the movie adaptations.

Maybe the next series we tackle will be more to your liking! :)
