1. What cool toys would you like to own?

I would like to own a smart phone. I have a little flip phone with no internet or texting. I am totally living in the early 2000s. LOL

I'm not much into toys. My husband is the techno toy addict. Since Christmas, we have acquired a flatscreen TV, a Wii, a Blu-Ray, a surround sound home theater thingie, and MP3 players. (My first MP3 player. *hides* I know. I am so behind the times.)

2. What's the best advice you've ever been given or given out yourself?

I tend to give pretty good advice. Narcissism ahoy. LOL I have pretty good emotional intuition and I tend to know when people are hiding their feelings, who has a crush on who, who's irritated or pissed or what-have-you. And I tend to have a good read on situations and dispense fairly sound advice.

The best advice I was ever given was in high school by a girl named Kelly. She and I were not really friends or anything but one day (and I don't even remember the circumstances which led to this exchange; maybe it was an exercise in a class or something) she told me, "Lorraine, you are so beautiful. Why do you look at the ground when you walk? You should look everybody in the eye and let them see how beautiful you are." And here's the thing. I wasn't looking at the ground for any particular reason. I wasn't depressed or mousy. I had a pretty strong self-esteem. I just tended to look down at the ground when talking around; I would look at the cracks in the sidewalk and whatnot as I was walking (and boy does that sound ridiculous LOL). After she said that, I made a conscious effort to keep my head up and my eyes forward and own the world around me and it made such a difference in the way I felt. She changed my life with that one little off-hand comment.

3. Where would you really love to travel?

In the US, I'd love to visit Chicago again. We always have a really good time there. Outside the US, I would love to go back to Spain with Josh. I had such a lovely time there, and he's never been outside the country (except to Mexico and Cayman and Canada).

4. If you could choose one actor or actress to play a role, who and what role would it be?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. This is kind of hard. I am not a visual reader. I do not form pictures in my mind when I read. It's more like a little me is in my head speaking to me. If I've seen a movie version of the text, I will sometimes picture the characters from the movie (frex, Ron Weasley is forever Rupert Grint).

I honestly don't know. Huh.

5. What's something unexpected that you're good at?

Eating all the cheese in the house. Using all the toilet paper in like two sittings somehow. Dropping everything and breaking it. Remembering the last half of each line of a song. Spontaneous scatalogical poetry creation. Slashing all the things. Using every single spoon in the house in a two hour period. Growing boobs.

This last deserves a wee tad more commentary. My boobs continue to get bigger. I have lost weight. I've gone down from a 40/38 band last spring to a 36, but my bras were just not fitting me in the cup and I kept thinking WTF because most women lose weight in their breasts as well as the rest of their bodies when they exercise. I've been in a DDD for the past five years or so, and it never occurred to me that they would grow beyond that. I got an actual bra fitting yesterday. I am a 36H. H. H. H. H. OMGF-ingG. H. And the bras fit beautifully and they are beautiful. And Hs.
