i aten't dead, probably

1. I have been quite remiss in acknowledging the lovely things that have come my way recently:

multiple missives, including Valentines, from misbegotten
a postcard with Steve/Eddie from Stranger Things art from king_touchy
a wonderful HP ficlet, Miss Hermy's Knittings by sabethea

2. I want to wish a happy, belated birthday to amejisuto, my oldest internet friend--as in have known the longest, not biologically the oldest. LOL I think you edge out spikedluv, who I met around the same time, by just a matter of days.

I met amejisuto on the Unconventional Shippers Yahoo Mailing List where I was posting my very first fanfic, and she and Suki Blue (who has since left fandom) conspired together and made me a livejournal and got all their LJ friends to friend the journal and presented it to me a fait accompli. It was such a wonderful act of kindness; I don't know where I would be without fandom in my life, and I'm grateful to Ame for playing such a large role in getting me into this space.

I'm also grateful for her good humor, generosity, and unfailing kindness to others. Happy birthday, my friend.

3. I've started sending out my February mailings of <3 <3 <3 so be on the lookout. Plan is to get them all out this week. International people, expect yours to arrive by summer. LOL
