In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
Thank you to every military man and woman across the globe (not just here in the United States) who has sacrificed life, health, mental well-being, marriages and other relationships, and/or innocence to preserve peace.
For those of you who have lost family and friends who have served in the military, I grieve with you. And for those of you whose friends and family currently serve, I pray with you for their safety.
And to honor my own:
Uncle Bob, whose picture you find when you look up Hardass Marine in the dictionary, and who served in World War II, Korea, and three tours in Vietnam,
PawPaw D, who served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater in World War II,
PawPaw C, who never joined the military but trained servicemen to fly planes during World War II,
Grandaddy, who served on a submarine in the Navy in World War II and Korea and on an ammo supply ship in Vietnam,
I miss you all and thank you for your sacrifices.
To Uncle Glenn who served in Operation Desert Storm and retired from the Air Force after a decorated career, I am grateful for your service. And to his daughter, Kristen, who is just beginning her service in the Air Force, thank you for your willingness to serve our country even in such a dangerous time.
