I Have Stood Here Once Before by
strangerine88; SPN Big Bang; Sam/Castiel; R
I read this before I went on vacation and forgot to rec it before I left, so my memory is a little rusty. Basically, Cas goes back and time and gets to Sam while he's at Stanford and before John goes missing. He and Sam start hunting together, and eventually their relationship turns into more. I really like the way that Cas is able to retcon canon events, and I love that the author doesn't take the easy way out with the ending. I imagine some readers won't be pleased with the ending, but I think it's plausible and nicely hurty.
A Few Small Repairs by
liadan14; SPN; longish; Sam/Gabriel, Dean/Castiel, Adult
John Winchester has inexplicably come back to life, Gabriel ran off just when the flirting was getting good, and Dean and Cas are convinced that no one knows they're dating despite the fact that they keep schlepping off to screw around every five seconds. This skirts the edges of crack, but still manages to be engaging on other levels besides the hilarious.
Awkward by
artangst; Die Hard; McClane/Farrell; PG; short
McClane's fellow officers discover his relationship with Matt. I love this fic. It's short, sweet, and wonderfully characterized. Great read.
