First, I wrote and posted fic! 799 words of Firefly femslash (Inara/Nandi) inspired by BPAL's Nanshe. :)
Secondly, I have walked 10,000 steps or more every day since Saturday, and yesterday I walked over 15,000. 10,000 steps is just a smidge more than 4 miles. (These are tallies for the whole 24 hours of the day) Whoooooooo, me!
Thirdly, I would like to tell you about Mont Blanc Legend, a men's fragrance. The top notes are bergamot, lavender, pineapple leaf, verbena; the middle notes are oakmoss, geranium, coumarin, apple, rose, dried fruit; and the bottom notes are sandalwood, tonka, oakmoss.
Y'all, this sounds so cool on paper. I really like many of these notes singly and was looking forward to seeing how they combine. Unfortunately, I couldn't distinguish very many of the elements. I smelled apple and geranium, and Emma smelled verbena, but those were the only individual notes I could suss out. After a bit, Legend turned sweet in a way that I didn't like at all, but fortunately that faded fairly quickly. It settled into a generic masculine cologne smell with none of the pizzazz implied by the list of ingredients. Don't get me wrong; it smells perfectly lovely, and I would glad share scent space with someone wearing Legend, but it's nothing unique or special.
