I have been in meetings all day at one of the campuses that's an hour away from where I live, so I didn't find out about Nimoy's death until this afternoon. And then on the way home, I was struck by my memory of the crew on the bridge in Undiscovered Country when Kirk says, "Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning," and I got all choked up. I was gonna call this fic that but I had already called one of my reboot fics that very thing. LOL
