stuff and things

1. I treated myself to some perfume samples: Bvlgari Black, Chanel No. 19 EDT, Comme des Garcons Black, Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire, Hermessence Vetiver Tonka, and Serge Lutens Miel de Bois. I can't wait until they arrive!
2. Normally, I am like this (picture my two fingers twisted together) with Chris Hardwick, but I do not at all agree with his take on last night's episode of Walking Dead. His take on the scene with Aaron, Daryl, and the horse is that Aaron is wrong to try to domesticate the horse who would be squashed by trying to fit into their community with Daryl as an obvious analogue for the horse. I don't think that's right, though. Aaron laments brokenly that the horse always runs (which is Daryl, always running). This leads to the horse getting slaughtered by walkers. Daryl then acknowledges that Aaron has been trying to help the horse and isn't to blame for its death. I feel like it was a watershed moment for him where he realizes that continuing to run and keep everybody at arm's length is a bad idea.
3. Today I upped my steps to 13,000. I missed my goal three times this past two week cycle--two days because of meetings/appointments and then yesterday because I got a damn sunburn like a dumbass on Saturday and couldn't put on a bra to go exercise. LOL 13,000 will indeed be trickier than 12,000 but looks like an hour and a half in the gym will cover it. We're on spring break this week, so we'll see how it works next week when I'm back at work.
