We could take a semester of each in middle school. My dad was the shop teacher. It was called industrial arts and was a real class. Home Ec was a joke. I don't remember learning anything in that class. I don't think we ever cooked anything. We did put on makeup samples one time. LOL

In high school, you couldn't take those classes if you took college prep classes.
