Ezri on DS9 gets on my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard. But, Mirrorverse!Ezri. Oh, my my. *fans face* I kept thinking what an excellent vampire she'd make. LOL

Random requests:

1. A friend's dad apparently discovered fanfiction recently and has been reading Lost fic. Rec me some Lost fic I can pass along as I don't read in that fandom. (No slash please, either fem or m/m, and nothing too explict or kinky. No "Hurley discovers a suitcase full of riding crops," m'k?)

2. Another friend is looking for icons of Rent and Arrested Development. Anybody have any they like or know where to find some? Didn't you do a post them a while back, shannon730?

3. If somebody could make me an icon, I would kiss her!!!!!!!! Okay, here's the deal. Louise Sorel played Rayna on a TOS episode and then went on to play the glorious Vivian Alamain on DOOL. I would love an animated icon of her that rotates between these pictures of her: http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Rayna_Kapec and http://lorisam.tripod.com/jonviv.jpg with the text "I'd lend you a brassiere, but you're a little out of my league." Unfortunately the last picture is not really good quality, but I can't find any others of her in this ep which I don't know the name of.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Had a really nice day. The geek that I am, I'm playing with my new monitor that I got for my birthday. 19" flat panel. Compared to my VERY old (had it for about 3 computers) 17" (15" viewable) monstrosity I now feel like I'm running around naked in a VERY large and empty room! Perhaps I should put some clothes on? :)

I did, but they're all of Adam Pascal (Roger) and not really In Character. The only actual Rent stuff is a banner and a wallpaper.

But I have to screencap the movie this weekend to make a wallpaper for jonathon so if they want something specific let me know and I'll try to get it.

We both watched Spike TV at lunch today, huh? [I only saw the first half, FWIW.] Eric and I were talking about why there's The "alternate universe" instead of infinite ones and I suggested if there was some important event that got changed and the Other People found a way into our universe, like the Wishverse . . . and I was already thinking that Mirror!Ezri and Mirror!Kira were so hot [I called that Ezri was a doppleganger the minute she showed up in Quark's doorway] and so evil and I realized that it totally was the Wishverse. ("I'm evil, and skanky, and I think I'm kind of gay.")

Also: Mirror!Bashir was totally reminding me of scruffy!Wesley with the scruffy and the shooting and so on.

P.S. Your icon kinda scares me.

Ambiguous sexuality is definitely the hallmark of alternate realities. I know that there are a handful of mirror!verse eps in DS9, but I'm not certain that it's always the same alternate reality, so your friend is probably right there are infinite alternate realities. That's always the way I've understood that particular thing to work.

I just cannot get behind Mirror!Doc and as Trekgirl puts it below, his pompadour of Geekiness. LOL Although, I liked his character's story, etc, the hair just killed me.

It's well-established in Trekverse that there are an infinite number of parallel universes, so we were confused as to why the characters were talking about "the" alternate universe.

Googling gives me:

Basically it is, as Wikipedia puts it, "a special case," and is much like Wishverse -- dystopian, characters have ability to travel between the two.
