Home again, home again

I took the girls to MS to visit with family this past week, so I wasn't quite as dedicated in reading DW and commenting as I usually am. Let me know if I missed something important.

It's good to be home and sleep in my own bed.

I hadn't seen my grandma in over two years and since she's 95 and on hospice now, I really wanted to do that.

But my own bed is glorious!

I have family in Mississippi, too, though I barely know them.

Oh it was so wonderful to roll around in my own bed. LOL

What part of MS are they in?

Ancestrally, Franklin County, Amite County, Pearl River County - down at the bottom! The last time I went to a family funeral there (in the 1990s), it was in Natchez, and then we drove and drove and drove to Meadville to the cemetery, and had a reception in the associated church.

My people are all on the Gulf Coast and in Hattiesburg; Josh's are in Jackson and Meridian.

I have cousins and second cousins still there, but don't know any of them. My older siblings know more of those relatives.

I am very glad to be home, but I had an excellent time away.

I hope L and the baby are doing well this morning.

They were! And are!

Baby A is in surgery now. *crosses fingers*

(I happened to be watching the baby!cam when the nurses removed the gauze from her lower back, so I saw the sac filled with spinal fluid. It was much bigger than I expected it to be.)
