Plot idea?

So, I'm moving forward on that SPN/SGA crossover. Things are not quite as woeful as they seemed previously; however, plot still remains elusive.

So, I ask: what would you most like to see in an SGA/SPN crossover? Plot? Character interactions? Sexual positions? LOL

I'm looking for inspiration here. (I haven't decided a pairing for the fic or even if there's to be one, so any and all suggestions on that front are welcome.)

First of all, all you had to say was SPN/SGA crossover and I exploded in my pants.

I have this idea for a crossover that is kinda completely au, but it involves the boys going to atlantis because of an influx in supernatural activity. Like they are hired on because they're the best in their field.

Interactions, I would need to see Dean - Rodney, Oh man. Ronon and Sam sparring is like something I would want to see simply because they match each other in size. Dean trying to get into all the hot chicks pants.

OH THE IMPALA! I don't know what would happen to it or how it would get there, or if it would, but it couldn't be left behind.

I would love to see pairing wise, maybe some Rodney/Dean or Rodney/Sam. Or hell maybe some John/Sam ooohhhh yeah. Or maybe any combination of the four.

Kink omg if this turns into an epic(DO IT!) let there be lots of kink. Oh man I miss the hot hot kinky fic. It's hard to find lately.

Dude I know!!!!!! I pretty much want to read stuff that crosses SGA and SPN with anything LOL and especially with each other.

I second you on the Dean and Rodney interaction; I've already got some of that going in the first pages I've written. And Ronon sparring with Sam--holy hell, woman, that's an IDEA!! LOL And Dean hitting on all the chicks (I can just hear him now, "Helloooo, Dr. Heightmeyer. Can I call you Kate?" wink leer. LOL

I just can't decide if I want to take the boys to Atlantis or not. They're on earth now. *muses*

I just--the way I've got the story structured so far (which I really like)--I can't think of a way of getting them on Atlantis. It'll be far easier for them to interact with some of the SGA crew on Earth.

And yet, *I* really want them to go to Atlantis too. Dammit. LOL I will figure this durn thing out.

Dean drives a the Impala thru a portal that opens in front of them (dont know why) just as his year is up... lands in a different dimension, so his pact with that devil is void. He and Sam arrive in Atlantis via the portal that hooks into Stargate (I know done to death but it gets them there) Dean then becomes slut!Dean when he realises he wont die... ;p

I do so love xovers... And 'fish out of water' stories are fun... The SPN world being a world the team travels to could be cool... But no mixing and matching of the 'ships! I like my boys to stay with their *own* boys. Otherwise there's that looming threat that Sam will stay behind! or something awful and it just ruins it for me.

I'm weird like that.

Unexpected competence from the spn boys in the 'new' universe is fun, but them being utterly!awesome! and totally saving the day and better than Ronon, John and Rodney combined is lame.

Hmmmmm. I have actually been toying with either mixing up the pairings or not having any pairing at all. But I can say for sure this is a fun, fun fic I'm planning with no angst or awfulness or anyone staying behind because I believe in Sam and Dean forever (even when it's just on the level of brothers). LOL

I absolutely agree with you about the unexpected competence thing. Sam is smart but no way he could hang with Rodney and Radek on the science front and Dean's amazing in the field but he's not gonna be the Rambo Atlantis always prayed for. *G*

I think that rather than involving alternate dimensions, I'm just going to mesh the two worlds as is. In what I've written so far, Rodney encounters Sam and Dean on Earth and I can't decide if the boys should go to Atlantis or not. I also have the feeling that this fic is going to turn into a series of vignettes in which nothing much happens except the Winchesters talk to different SGA characters. LOL

Personally, I think watching Dean and Ronon interact could be quite fun. As would, perhaps, Teyla kicking the crap out of Dean while sparring. And it might be cool to have Sam and Teyla sort of bonding over carrying a little bit of their worst enemy inside them.

plotplotplot, please! you've got to sell me on why these characters are in the other characters' universe. And are you going for full-cast of one or the other, or some characters from one and some from the other?

after plot, what sells me on a crossover are the characters--we like to see our favorite characters from each fandom interacting in new and unexpected ways...

(whispers: what I'm really going for is someone else to have written this so I can read it, but yeah. LOL)

It's definitely Sam and Dean and Rodney and Carson so far in the scenes I've written. I've only watched through season five of SG-1 so the fic's not gonna have any SG-1 characters in it because I have no idea what they're doing in season 10. I think it would be easiest for Sam and Dean to interact with some of the SGA cast on Earth because I can think of plausible reasons for them to come to Earth but not for the SGC to let the two of them go to Atlantis. Part of me really wants those boys on Atlantis, but that's not the story I started to write, unfortunately.

and while I don't think I'll use all of these ideas, I think my general plan for the story is that the SGC discovers the supernatural world exists and is related to the aliens they've spent the past ten years fighting.
