Randomy things

I am in such a good mood. I have a working draft of the final, yes FINAL, chapter of "Shadowlands." It needs some spit-polishing, especially in the erotical section (Lord I kill myself with these horrific puns), but I should have it ready to send off to Miss Kitty either tonight or tomorrow. I also have this incredibly wanky post planned on "The Making of Shadowlands" LOL At least it will be interesting to myself.

I read the Serenity comics and adored them. *squeeeees a mighty squee* I LOVE Jayne picking at Mal about losing the money (Is now the right time, then? *snort*), when Mal says that his gun and Zoe are the only two things he has left from the war *oh the sobbing*, when Wash tries to give Mal the what-for about Inara. Good ole Wash.

I've started writing a new fic, a Firefly one. That show just won't let me alone. I mean I still got the iron running on SL and here I am heating another one up. But I can't help it. It's an Inara fic. I haven't figured out exactly where I wanna go with it, but I think it's gonna be kinda femslashy. I do know that I want it to be heavy on the character exploration. [warning: tense muckery ahead] I mention this new project to my husband and start explaining my take on Inara's character to him, which I won't go into here, but depends heavily on the notion of control.

Josh: So write about the one scene where she loses control.
Lorraine: But she doesn't really. Not in the way I mean.
Josh: So? Make one up.
Lorraine looks at him like Missing the point of the fic, darling one.
Josh: Well, if you're gonna lie . . .
Lorraine just snickers. She remembers why she married him.
