Nov. 17th, 2008 09:12 pmI need help, my lovelies.
According to lj, I need to do these two things before tomorrow:
1. Add these two IP addresses to your "allowed senders" list (or whitelist) and address book in your email client: 208.93.0.18 and 208.93.0.50. These are the new IPs for sending comments notifications and LJ mail to your email inbox.
2. Add lj_notify@livejournal.com and webmaster@livejournal.com to your email address book.
I have done #2, *g*, but I don't know how to do number 1. I was also going to turn off the spam filter as the email suggests, but I don't think I can since I have a free AOL account. I could not find the keywords box anywhere and FAQ says that it can only be accessed using the AOL software, which leads me to believe that I can't do that anymore. In fact, when I clicked on the hyptertext Keywords: My Mail, AOL kicked on and wanted me to dial in. Which no.
So, if I can't just turn the spam filters off, anybody know how I can do #1 with AOL. When I searched for "whitelist" on Help, it seemed to suggest that I couldn't do anything to that either. Am I just supposed to add those numbers to my address book? *is so confused*
