Things What Have Made Me Happy

wisdomeagle and thelastgoodname: At Emma's school, they have a program called Accelerated Reader. Each kid gets to pick her own book, read it at her own pace, and then take a test on the book. Students have to accumulate a certain number of points by the year's end, each book being worth points based on difficulty. Emma brought home a new book today, and she was so so excited about it. She pulled it out of her bag with a flourish, and it was a Babysitter's Club book-- Karen's Kitty-Cat Club. My first thought: MY BABY'S GETTING READY FOR YULETIDE! *g*
2.hermionesviolin has posted a description of the church of her vision. This is the kind of worship and faith community that I long for.
3. A Glorious Dawn by Melodysheep
Somebody is making Carl Sagan fan vids! OMG! Everybody should watch this; not only is this clever and catchy as a song, Sagan's words are still so beautiful and pertinent in the 21st century. A must-see.
