LJ Gender!fail

It appears that lj has already retracted a move to force users to specify their gender as either male or female. It encourages me that they have responded to user outrage so swiftly; it does not encourage me that this move was on the table to begin with. More detailed information here.

I have edited my profile to reflect my gender as unspecified to register my disapproval and suggest that you do the same.
