In a trice
Aug. 1st, 2014 11:08 pm1. Josh and I have decided to table the house dreams for a few months. We sort of jumped into house hunting without doing any research, and every time we went to look at the house, the realtor would mention some other upfront fee that we weren't aware of. I really like her, BTW. She has been a godsend in helping us understand the way the process works, and I think she's a genuine and honest person. We're going to start saving and revisit the market in October. If this house is still up for sale then, we're making an offer. But the decorating dreams will continue! So don't be surprised to see house porn posts in the interim. LOL
2. I was reading this fabulous Star Trek fic and right at the end, the author has Bones receive a top shelf, expensive, very made over gift of . . . Evan Williams. *snicker* Clearly a teetotaler.
3. You know that moment when you're doing something, like balancing the checkbook or scrolling through the news on NPR, and you look up for just a second and you see your kid, this person that grew inside your body and used to be so tiny that you could hold her in your arms for hours and barely feel the weight, and she's so tall so grown up and so beautiful that it's almost unbearable to see? Yeah. Had one of those moments today.
