December Talking Meme + Other Stuff
Dec. 11th, 2018 05:01 pm1. I got TWO awesome postcards from
misbegotten! Up on the mantel they go.
2. Speaking of mantels, I can't tell y'all how much I enjoy pressing a button on a remote and starting up ye olde fireplace. We also bought a space heater for the master bathroom, and life is much more toasty now.
3. Emma has had another tendonitis flare in a new part of her body, her foot. I had the doc check her for general autoimmune stuff because this is becoming a pattern, and it's worrying to me. I'm sure I'm just catastrophizing as usual, but I'll feel better if the general screen comes back clean. Her main problem is that when she takes a protracted break from running and then goes back to it, she always injures herself; so given that something else isn't underlying, we've made a plan for slowly easing her back into exercising, and then she's committed to not taking long breaks again. She gets so frustrated when injuries keep her from running, so I think she's motivated to keep at it.
4. I ran 5.48 miles on the elliptical in 46:10. Hell, yes!
5.
kore asks: Is there an old favorite fandom you haven't read/watched in a while that you'd like to revisit?
This is a timely question! After we watched Fantastic Beasts, Emma and I were struggling to remember the finer details of Dumbledore's back story, and she mentioned that it had been such a long time since she read/watched the canon that she really didn't remember it as well as she'd like to. So I think a Harry Potter watch/read is in store.
