2. I got ANOTHER package fromexecutrix, this time of books! Yay!

We are currently catless after having 2-3 cats in the house over the last twenty years. Josh and the girls would like another cat. I would not.
Now that we own our own home and we bought furniture new from the store instead of taking everyone's garbage couches like you do when you're a grad student, I just hate the thought of them being all scratched up. It's also really nice not to have to deal with a litter box or cat puke or somebody to come watch the cat while you're away or incessant meowing while you're trying to sleep.
I really do love cats, and I suspect that long term I will lose this battle and we'll get another cat. But right now, I am really enjoying not having that responsibility.
