November Children's Books Round Up
Dec. 3rd, 2019 09:13 pmI have been re-reading lots of SGA fic. It is delightful. I keep being told I have already left kudos here. :) I'm reading on AO3 sorting by kudos, complete, and Teen Wolf excluded, so I know it will take me awhile to get to stuff I haven't read before. Recs welcome, all genres/pairings!
The best of this bunch of books goes outside the cut.
Cat Heaven by Cynthia Rylant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
OMG, y'all. This book.
So the art is terrible. It looks like my six year old painted all the illustrations, and I hate that kind of artwork for kids' books.
But, but, but! The text is so awesome. It's all about cat heaven and how God lets all the cats sleep on his bed and angels pet them and catnip rains down from the sky, and it is kind of awesome. Made me grin.
