and the week commenceth

2. I am going to attempt to remote desktop for the first time tonight. If it doesn't work, I'm going back into the office tomorrow to retrieve some files I have decided I might need. Cross your fingers for me.
3. I was doing my monthly trawl through the UPenn site for CFPs, and suddenly it occurred to me that while I have access to all the primary texts I need and a great deal of secondary sources, I will not be able to do the kind of research I need to do to write scholarly works until we're allowed to go back to campus and use ILL. That's a little sobering. I really, really hope that promotion/tenure and annual evals for this year and next year really take into account the way that many of us were unable to present at conferences that were cancelled for this year or to start writing papers we'd submit for publication/presentation next year because of lack of access to materials.
4. OMG, I read a horrible collection of poetry, and I shall now subject you all to my whining about it.

5. Antiques roadshow is back on tonight! It's been off-air for like two weeks, and it was legit bumming me out. LOL Now I can get my creepy doll and ugly-ass vase fix! Whooooo!
