My joints is so old!
Jul. 1st, 2021 12:39 pmWe went up to Atlanta Tuesday afternoon to stay with some friends from grad school that we obviously had not seen since before the pandemic, and then Emma and Josh went to orientation at Georgia State on Wednesday. They both were very impressed and came away from the school with good feelings about the place.
It gets more and more real, y'all. My baby is leaving. *sniffles*
It was so nice to see our friends, too. I had really missed them. Now that we are all vaccinated (sans kids that are too young), I'm hoping we see each other much more often. D is a professor so he was off for the summer with the kids, but J was working from home most of the time we were there, and I intellectually know what she does for a living but seeing her be a global project manager is pretty cool. I have rubbed elbows with the powerful! LOL
I am so ready to not be in a car for awhile, though. 8 hours on Sunday, 2 on Monday, 2.5 on Tuesday, 2.5 on Wednesday--my body is unhappy with that reality. To the yoga mat!
