GUESS WHAT I AM DOING? I AM WRITING MY COMP PAPER. I'VE GOT TWO PAGES AND IT'S BEEN LESS THAN AN HOUR AND THEY DON'T SOUND LIKE SHIT. APPARENTLY I DID NOT FORGET HOW TO BE A SCHOLAR! I ROCK SO HARD!

In other news, I am almost done with a fic but I need a suggestion; I've got one sentence that is giving me fits and I need your help. What is something sweet and earnest as Sam Winchester is, but also maybe a little quirky, something most men don't do, maybe something born of being raised like a warrior, that he could do to show Jess he loves her? I'm thinking something that's unconscious on his part, like it doesn't even occur to him to even think about doing it--it's not a Grand Gesture, but it means a lot to her.

I don't know much about Jess, of course, but maybe she would really appreciate it if she had a 50-lb bag of kitty litter or charcoal or potting soil or something and he carried it when they went to the Wal-Mart or Home Depot? (I started to say 50 lbs of rock salt--for the driveway--but of course he carries bags of rock salt whether he loves somebody or not.)

Holy crap, if I were writing comps, I wouldn't be able to do any fic writing/beta reading! You are multi-tasker queen!

I have no suggestions for your fic thing on account of how I don't watch the show and all. (Except: Spanking, buying her a cow, helping her step up into his gigantic super-high truck, picking some kind of weird wildflower without thinking about and handing it over to her without seeming to realise it, or remember to use his handkerchief instead of his sleeve).

As for Sam, the kind of thing that's coming to my mind would be stuff like... if he's meeting her somewhere, he's always early so she never has to wait alone anywhere; he always meets her outside the restaurant or theater or whatever, instead of waiting inside for her where he can't see her coming and be sure she's safe; he sleeps on the side of the bed closest to the door, and always makes sure the window is locked, and he keeps the window clear of shrubbery or vines or anything that would facilitate sneaky people sneaking; he walks on the street-side when they're walking down the sidewalk, to minimize anyone hollering at her or trying to nab her, or her getting splashed by thoughtless drivers after a rain; he always makes sure her car is in good working order and that she has flashlight, blanket, first aid and emergency kits in the car, and that her cell phone is always charged; and so on like that?

As for Sam, I like Zillah's suggestions. I was thinking of walking on the street-side myself, or maybe going places with her at night when he doesn't need to, say walking her to late classes, just to be sure she's okay.

Those are good suggestions; I went with sorting out laundry so as not to destroy the delicates. It's a thing most guys don't get. Handwash the bras!!!! LOL
