:laughing: is that athea's story? (i thought lil nezumi's fic for a second but it totally doesn't have gangbanging). I've only read a smidge of it as its way way out of my exploration reading zone. (the zone i call for reading concepts that make no sense to me). I admit tho that I have a secret enjoyment for 'little miss mary'--i've given up trying to understand why as its so out there other than me liking the mystic & use of earth power elements.

Actually, the story on her site (and is how i found the site) that is one of my all time faves is her Emergency! fic with John Gage/Kelly Brackett. It was a random discovery via the only other gage/brackett story I've ever found. Now its a story I enjoy re-reading. It is so entirely different in, well everything,--you would never guess the same author wrote it.

In other HP fic news: over on HPFandom, Philo just finished after over 100 chapters and over a year Fate is a Four Letter Word. Have you read it? If you haven't you must, it is amazing in character and story. I'm still stunned by the depth of the plotting. And incredibly sad that it's over as I wanted so much more of the character/relationship moments.

Yes, it is!!! I think what's so frustrating to me is that the writing in the story is often good and that at times the characterization is really nicely done. And then it's just ..... not. LOL

What is "Little Miss Mary" about? There's no header on the fic on the site.

Do you have a link for Philo's story? I'd love to read it.

"little miss mary" is snarry, underage (as i recall) and involves cross dressing. I really don't know why i like it, but i do. Its definitely cracked, but it does have an interesting use of ward magic and nature magic.

I know what you mean about the writing/characterization thing...like i said before, I was quite shocked at the difference between the HP fic and the first fic I read of hers (the Emergency one).


Philo's fate is a four letter word is at the link below. (sorry being too lazy too look how to make a pretty link). There is one chapter that is a bit difficult to read philo warns for it; its not rape [eta:now that i think about it... perhaps its is].
Seriously, words fail when I try to describe how awesome this story is--the relationship building, and the way the writing gets in Harry's head is stupendous IMO. And the plotting kept me guessing. I'm so sad its over that I haven't read the last chapter yet...I want to start from the beginning again and savor all 105 chapters. (these aren't little chap. either). I'd be interested to hear an opinion from someone who has actually read all the books thru the DH epilogue. The story is set in the future when Harry's youngest is in her last year of school.

Seriously, if this story was in a pretty zine I would buy it because i would love to be able to re-read it without sitting in front of a computer.
It was for that same reason, and because greedy me wanted extra story, that I bought Shadow's spander Twilight Time zine after reading only 5 chapters online. I liked it that much.
