Last night, our beautiful and pristinely white refrigerator went gently into that good night. (Well, actually the compressor died, and the fan iced over and got stuck, and Josh ripped that sucker right out because you could hear it grinding through the whole house.)
As I now invite our friends over to help us cook and eat ALL THE THINGS before they spoil, I thought I might commemorate the hallowed appliance that kept my beer cold and my cheese ready for slicing with a commentfic fest.
Lorraine's Multifandom Refrigerator Commentfic Fest
Maybe they don't just shove Elizabeth through the Gate at the end of "Ghost in the Machine."
Maybe Danny makes Steve a sandwich, and then they do it.
Maybe Uhura gets hypothermia, and Gaila has to cuddle up to save her life. And then they do it.
Whatever your interpretation, no matter how oblique--saving a beloved character from fridging, freezing temperatures, literal refrigerators--feel free to leave prompts and to fill them. No obligation to fill a prompt if you leave one. Let us know the fandom in the subject line and any warnings.
Spread the word!

"Giles can I get a drink?" Xander asked as he walked in the front door.
Giles sighed & put his book down. Really, was it so difficult to remember to knock? "I don't know can you?" he asked acerbically.
Xander stopped in his path to the kitchen & deliberately rolled his eyes at Giles. "May I?"
"Yes. If you would please bring me some water as well."
The clanking of glasses was followed by "Aieeeee!"
The book went flying and Giles jumped up to run to the kitchen. "What? What?"
Xander stood in front of the open refrigerator door and pointed at the interior. "What the hell is that stuff?!"
Giles gently pushed him out of the way and looked inside the box, and was only just able to stop himself from polishing his glasses in exasperation. "It is called fresh vegetables and fruit. You know those things you sneered at when your mother made dinner in your childhood. Oh, and a roast for my dinner."
Xander snorted. "My mother cook from actual fresh ingredients. You're delusional. And do you seriously see Anya cooking, I had to figure that out too."
Giles looked at his young friend seriously and stopped himself from making a smart reply, knowing that Xander still smarted from her defection for different reasons than his own. He patted Xander on the shoulder, "Don't worry the fresh green things won't hurt you. I know you had wonderful home meals when Joyce was with us. But why don't you get your drink and I'll make dinner for the two of us."
