We're also helping to promote tokra_kree / tokra_kree which is holding signups beginning tomorrow through June 15th. Tok'ra Kree! is a Stargate challenge for Tok'ra-centric fanworks. Fic, art, and videos welcome as long as the focus is on the Tok'ra. Fanwork can be gen or any pairings. Any rating, any category including crossovers/fusions. Theme for Round Two: Rewrite an episode (SG-1, SGA, or SGU) to include Tok'ra.

I just finished rewatching SGA with my daughter and was reminded all over again how much I love all things Gateverse. To that end, I would like to host a low-pressure fanwork fest focused on SG-1, SGA, and SGU.

How The All Fanwork Gateverse Extravaganza Works

1. All fanworks allowed! This means icons, artworks, gifsets, fic, rec sets, meta, vids and any other fannishness you want to share.

2. All ratings and genres of fanworks allowed! This means het, slash, and gen; this means Adult and rated G; this means AU and cross-over and fusion and Gateverse actor RPF; this means kinky and vanilla; this means drabbles and long fics.

3. All incarnations of the Gateverse allowed! This means SG-1, SGA, SGU, actor RPF, and movieverse.

4. Please respond to this post with fanwork prompts. In the subject line, indicate what kind of fanwork you are prompting for and for which show. (Examples: Subject line: Meta Prompt; SGA or Subject Line: Fic Prompt; SGU) Remember, prompts may differ between the LJ/DW versions of this post, so you might want to check them both.

5. You do not have to sign up for a prompt. You do not have to create a fanwork to leave a prompt. Everyone is free to leave as many prompts as desired with no obligation to fill any of them.

6. If you get inspired by a prompt, create a fanwork and post it wherever you like. Last night, our beautiful and pristinely white refrigerator went gently into that good night. (Well, actually the compressor died, and the fan iced over and got stuck, and Josh ripped that sucker right out because you could hear it grinding through the whole house.)

As I now invite our friends over to help us cook and eat ALL THE THINGS before they spoil, I thought I might commemorate the hallowed appliance that kept my beer cold and my cheese ready for slicing with a commentfic fest.

Maybe Uhura gets hypothermia, and Gaila has to cuddle up to save her life. And then they do it.

Whatever your interpretation, no matter how oblique--saving a beloved character from fridging, freezing temperatures, literal refrigerators--feel free to leave prompts and to fill them. No obligation to fill a prompt if you leave one. Let us know the fandom in the subject line and any warnings.

So, I was reading metafandom on delicious, as one is wont to do, and I ran across cupidsbow's post about misogynist cliches in fic. In the comments, polarisnorth says: You know, now that I think about it, I actually cannot remember ever reading fic where a woman has anal sex.

And that, dear fandom, is a crying shame.

Let's remedy that.
