I definitely don't think we're supposed to take Larry or Alex as the voice of the show -- I'm not sure ANYONE is the voice of the show, and I think that's a conscious choice, though it may explain some of the WILDLY different interpretations I've seen about what the show is doing, what the message is, who it's 'for', etc.
