Oh, absolutely 100%. Plus making icons and art and all manner of other things.

For me (just for me--not for anybody else), I tend to think of writing fic as the yard stick by which I measure my fannishness. Or really writing in general. If I was writing a lot of meta or actually writing up recs of all the HP fic I read, then I'd probably feel as if I were more a part of fandom.
